奇石的神秘，并不完全来自奇异的形状，亦为光影烟云所决定。汉斯犹如素描家，不但刻画精微，且赋予明暗变幻与幽邃背景，以成全意象之美。禅语“一朝风月，万古长空”，使人想起晴朗好天气，而汉斯的照片提醒我们，幽暗中也另有风月与万古长空。
幽暗中的奇石，像虚空的种子，萌动的意念，动力之起源，汉斯领悟了奇石及其的虚空背景，并以光影显现其原形，向我们显示空幻之心，传达世界的本质。

The mystical nature of scholars’ rock,apart from its exotic shape, is also largely determined by the use of the light and the smoke. Through a sketcher’s eye, Fonk meticulously captures the silhouette of the rocks under the changing light and smoke, and utilizes the serene setting to realize the beauty of his images. As the Zen saying goes: “In morning’s first light, moon and wind abate. From the remote antiquity, sky is ever present.” Fonk’s photography reminds us that such bright moonlight and eternal firmament can also exist in the darkness.
Amidst the darkness,scholars’ rock is the seed of vagueness, and it germinates ideas and generates momentum. Fonk fully grasps the essence of scholars’ rock by emphasizing on the hollowness, revealing its primitive form through lights and shadows, and showing us how a heart of serenity is the true nature of our universe.

• OBJEKT 杂志书发起人和总主编、荷兰艺术家、专业摄影师。
• 时尚管理专业出身，年轻时做过服装设计，酷爱赛车，曾为F2赛车手，70年代，曾是荷兰室内设计、布衣专业 杂志的专职记者和资深编辑。
• 80年代，作为时尚摄影师，与时尚杂志荷兰版 Bizarr合作了十几年之久。 同时与当时著名的 “Antwerp 6”有着密切的合作。而后又在旧金山受雇于设计师开始尝试室内摄影的新方向。
• 时至90年代，在与多家设计师和奢侈品牌合作之后，正式在阿姆斯特丹创立了“ OBJEKT 杂志 ”。2009年在 洛杉矶好莱坞举办的“Best Magazine of the Year Award” (年度最佳杂志大奖)评选中，击败了 Wallpaper 等国际知名设计类杂志，斩获了Interiror Design magazine category（室内设计类杂志）最高 奖。
• 合作拍摄的品牌有Jean Paul Gaultier，Azadine Alaia ， Maserati，Ferrari，Porche，Hermes，Cartier。
• 如今，Hans Fonk的杂志 在经过荷兰语、法语、德语、中文版的不断尝试后，现在正式发行有四个 版本，分别是国际版（英语），亚洲版（中英双语），俄语版（俄语），南非版（南非语），其中国际版在全 球80多个国家发行，亚洲版在亚洲11个国家和地区发行。
